2008 Hiram Award Recipient Brother Ronald Bishop
On September 9, 2008 Brother Ron Bishop was presented with the Hiram Award for his hundreds of hours of work and research in presenting the Masonic Education program "Brother Who Art Thou". The program is presented by Brother Bishop each lodge meeting where he will read (in the first person) biographical information about a current or brother Mason from history. Brothers in attendance attempt to guess the identity or sometimes the accomplishments of the famous Mason.
The research requires Brother Bishop to not only find famous Masons in history, but to confirm their membership in the fraternity through contact of the lodges in the country, and world; research on the web; and pouring over books on Masonry. The presentation is the looked forward to every meeting by brothers who not only learn about famous Masons, but also a little history and the challenges of different brothers faced in their Masonic travels through life.
Congratulations Brother Bishop!
